Had a similar experience with USPS. Perishable deer jerky and sausage sat in St. Louis for 3 weeks. It only needed to go from an Illinois city to another Illinois city 4 hrs away.

I had the honor of 2 midnight shifts of guarding the Moving Wall with my friend who was there for 2 tours with recon.
