Well now I'm ready tie some flies. Seeing the color patterns got good ideas.

I appreciate the replies. My goal is to fish Utah crappie spawn to spawn. Northern Utah fisheries don't focus on panfish as much as their trout and trophy fishes. I'm transplant here myself. ����

Consensus leads me to believe my wooly buggers need to metamorphisis in color.

I agree that wooly buggers mimics minnows,leeches or pupa/lava in lakes/streams. Colors minimal.

I've tied many flies for crappie on jig heads and bead headed fly hooks but to no avail return to jig heads and micro bodies.
