Those flying carp have totally destroyed the crappie fishing on the lower Black River lakes.

All the old timers I have known thought fish tasted much better fried in lard than in shortening or vegetable oil.

I used to do very well on bream in the Tom Thumb lakes there, or at least I believe that was the name.

I've seen Bill Dance say on several shows that bream bed around the full moon, 3 days before up through 3 days after. I can't say my personal experience has borne that out.

I tried it Saturday before last and caught 2 dink crappie and 1 dink goggle eye. No one else was catching anything either.

I think at the current level of White River Kansas Lake will probably be flooded.

How much rain did y'all get? I was thinking about going to Lake Washington or Sardis, but I don't want to get there and find a mudhole where the fish have shut down.
