Well, the decision got a LOT easier when I found out today BPS has the GarminEchoPlus SV9 on sale for $600. For me it was a no brainer and I jumped all over that deal. Thanks for all the help guys!!

I'm looking at getting a new unit. The 9 inch is about $300 more for the equivlent 7 inch. Are two inches worth the extra money for a weekend warrior bascially fishing brush piles? Thanks!
