I agree, I live only 15 miles from PP, 8 miles from Bakers Cut off. I fished the lake the first 2 years, and now I don't waste my time there. We caught very good, but the pressure made it unpleasent....

I have had a 987 for a little over a year! I sunk...
I have had a 987 for a little over a year! I sunk this in 20' water, and the shadow behind it was over 40' long. You could even see the contour of the 16' boat 7' pallett, and 10' tin on top.

Check out this crappie subdivision! Look at my post in "crappie structure" to see how I did it. Worked great! But you should have seen everybody look at me on the way to the lake!

Caught about 60 crappie Saterday from 7am to 10.30am on a jig. When the quit, they QUIT! This one was just a little over 16". Most were in about 12' of water, at Lake Bruin.

It don't take much, a cinderblock will sink 3 or more. I tied 1/2 blocks on some & I tied 3 together & used 1 block on some.

Crappie Milk Balls
This is an easy way to make crappie homes. Just push pvc pipe through old milk crates, & put a screw in if they are loose. Tie a weight & sink!

Thanks, but it just gets tought in the summer with skiers, jetskies, numsculls, ect, during the day. I catch these under piers & boathouses, and waves make for a very interesting fishing trip...

I will try both, it makes sense because the lake I fish is fairly clear, and the fish are spookey because you have to fish in the darkest of shade under the center of the largest piers to catch in...
