Fishing single pole / vertical jigging I use 10 ft St Croix pan fish rods with Abu Garcia spinning reel. 6lb test mono.

Hi Mike,

My dad designed and built that set up. You can remove the center basket and add a 3rd seat. It works great!

If you're fishing stained water 6 lb yellow will work great.
