It is probally the trim sending unit on your motor has went bad. It is what makes the trim guage work...

If you have weak compression it will cause this problem.

I have hooked alot of them up to the back of the trolling motor plug without any problems.. Just be careful routing your transducer cable down the sides of your trolling motor mount so they don't get...
