Southern pro said they use Mineral Oil.

In between trips walk off 100ft of line and stretch the line. Hold the line in your hand, don't pull with the reel. Helps a lot with memory on the line.

I use the thill string bobber stops on 4lb vicious all the time and they hold good. Wet the bobber stop and spread the knot as you tighten it a couple of times.

I've had a 1/4 lb spool of Vicious around 5 yrs now. Keep it in a closet in a box. Very good line. I only fish with one rod so it lasts a long time.
