Beautiful day on the water.
Launched at 11am
Water temps at launch 55.
Looked for warmer temps… found 57.
Looked shallow … nothing
Long lined jigs tipped with minnows
Found a few 18-25ft. ...

I went with my Dad last Thursday and we found them still on the banks. Smaller males guarding the nests. Still fun to catch em.

5.6 rods work great for me when it comes to dock shooting and casting under limbs, etc. They cast light jigs like 1/32 very accurately when picking apart shallow cover when in tight conditions...

Me and my dad fished Randleman from 9-3

Took 35 home for the deep fryer.
Avg size was 9-11 inches. No big fish netted today, one got away when I tried to boat flip it. [emoji43]
