Snuck out for a couple of hours before the crazies hit the water this morning. Pushing minnows in the timber - all fish were 10-12pm deep. Caught 39, kept 20 for the freezer. Off the water by 9am.

Veazy market is the only place on the east side of the lake to buy crappie minnows. Only a few miles from Granite Shoals.

I use Lowrance, but do recommend side imaging. I can drive by a dock and look and see if there are any fish under it. Helps when looking at brush piles too, if I don’t hit the waypoint exact.

I was catching them on the flats in 7 FOW. No structure, just staging on flat. Good luck and let me know how you do.

Check the flats in the back of the creeks. Temp hit up to 57.5 late in the day. Caught 14 between 4 and 6 this evening spiders rigging after work. Black/blue/black was the hot color.

I have a driftmaster crowfoot with 8 rod holders. This fits a 3/4" seat post. $175 shipped or I can meet you in the Lake Oconee area of Georgia.

I fished the last 1.5 hours of daylight in the back of the creek in 3-6' of water. Temp was 60.7 degrees. Color didn't matter and I lost at least as many as I boated. Great afternoon.

The restaurant is still open to the public. They are only open during the summer though.

Unfortunately it is private and the gate is closed 90% of the time. Now we get to look at that awful storage building and don't get to partake in the amenities.

I cannot agree more. There were so many on this dock I was able to see them on the down scan!
