Oh yeah, I also watched a guy drop his boat on the launch instead of in the water because he disconnected the strap before he backed down the ramp.

Went out there and caught some more. Its nice when you know right where they are.

Ended up with 36 yesterday between me and my dad. The boat ramp is off Portage road to the east on a side street called Fisherman's Lane.

Went out to Barton lake today. Caught about a dozen good gills between me and my buddy. Might be heading back out this evening with my dad and brother. They are set up close to the beds but...

I have heard the same thing in regards to smelt fishing.

That's interesting as the wind doesn't appear its going to be too bad in the morning. I can't imagine all those boats crowded into the mouth of the river jigging.

I haven't ever been truly night fishing but I know plenty of people slay the crappie and walleye at night.

My boat ended up with 2 on Saturday. Me and my dad both caught one 17 and 20 inches long. Measuring my net the one I lost was at least 30 inches - bummer!

Had a friend get a limit of crappie today on Gun in 12 foot of water.
