yes a public lake.check with cleco for permit. there or two launches one on hwy 8 one one hwy 121.also one inside the gates of cleco but is only for cleco employees. I would use the hwy 8 launch.I...

LDWF closed the roads in Dewey Willis Th.Muddy bayou. Sandy bayou are closed.Hunt rd was still open but water over rd in places.expect to get 3 to 5 feet more water.Will be good fishing when it goes...

Lake level up 6" but the water is clarity is fine. Still some late spawn taking place. Bream should be on beds about now.Some or catching some or not, but that is fishing.
No problem launching....

Really a bad spring for Saline/Larto.My worst ever!! Crappie ,Bass,an brim or all down in numbers.What caused it, bad winter,LDWF spraying for grass,fishing pressure, who knows? It will come back up...

Went thur. started out good caught 5 right of 2fow, shiners, was fishing the muddy bayou area. got blown off the lake.then went up little saline with not much luck. fished till 11:30 ended with 8....
