I'd love to never use another minnow but just like the OP, we have always always always caught more fish tipping our jigs. We must be doing it wrong rotfl

Interesting. We use Southern Pro Hot Grubs almost exclusively. We hook the minnows through the eyeballs and it seems we still get plenty of tail action, usually trolling around .8

I'm sure this has been discussed before. We typically ALWAYS pull jigs tipped with minnows. Seems our catch rates are a lot higher than without. That being said... we catch a lot of hybrids and...

Dam Store has been closed for a few years now. We usually get minnows at the Stark Store on the corner of Stark Road and Halls Bridge Road

We were down last weekend and most of the reports we heard, people were catching most of them in the channels still. That's where we caught our bigger fish too.
Honestly, as far as size and numbers...

quido00, we were down there at the same time and have about the same report as you. If you fished Harvey Mill I'm sure you saw us, three guys in a white ProCraft.
I have never at Talquin caught so...

we are heading down to LTL Wednesday evening and will be fishing Thurs-Sun.

Next Wednesday bout this time I'll be heading south on 75 towards LTL.

Hey Skeet, I am from Jackson as well. Oconee is where I go when I have time but we fish Jackson a lot because it is so close and we can't always spend a whole day.
