For Single strand it is best to get the mold you want in a non weedless model and modify the mold to except only a single strand

You can use braided leader material .. either coated or uncoated

Thru the years have used all kinds from lacquer ... epoxy & etc but Powder Paint ... to me ... at this time the best.

Just make sure that you do not use to much of it ... A little goes a long way and can "Harden" the plasisol.
All of the "Hi Lites" can give you some great colors and "Effects"

The newest ones by Mann are using a molded "Tin Hed" instead of the plastic that they started with.

Heat Gun or Torch ... they work the best for large numbers ... Alcohol lamps or using the oven are great for smaller numbers .. Fluid Bed is a must for larger numbers ... a good rack to rack them on...

I think the reasoning is on the number of lures is that the lure at the tie end is THE lure and that each one on the end of the wires is just a part of it ... What ever .. The ones for Stripers,...

One thing about the use of the different top coats ... Epoxy is the only one that is not attacked by soft plastics ... Just a heads up on that ... Powder Paint by its self is not attacked by Soft...

I do it all the time (not at a full 400 degrees but from what I have seen...

If you are Powder Painting .... before you make the final bake stick the eyes on and then bake.
To really do it up right after baking is to use epoxy glue and coat the entire head.
