Late post...2 of us fished Thursday longlineing jigs and minnows 3ft down over about 6ft.of water and picked off a few. Started seeing activity shallow so fished 1.5ft.deep over old lilly pad beds...

Bulk waxworms and other bait
I have not bought any from them yet, but go to vados.com. they sell bulk baits and tell you how to care for them. I hook waxworms through the tail end and let them hang with the eyes roaming around...

Minnows have been best so far
Catch almost all crappie on 2 minnow crappie rigs. Have only caught a few on jigs or jigs with minnows. Occasionally catch some on waxworms while jigging for bluegills.

I usually only put them in tube jigs. I put 5 or 6 nibbles in a syringe (5ml) and cut the top ring off around the nozzle of the syringe and this gives me a perfect size to fit the nozzle... -

Two of us recently fished from about 4pm to 8pm in 15 fow and caught most fish at 10 ft. and some 1 ft. off the bottom. Crappie and gills up higher and the perch near the bottom.

A pink, black, or chartreuse crappie pro jig head
with a black and pink or black and chartreuse yum wooly beavertail. Have caught more crappie on these than anything else. 2nd to this would have to be the gulp alive 2" black shad minnow.
