Try the north side of lake, Whitaker Bay, also northeast corner where river comes in, the big weed flat. Another area is where the river goes out on the south side of lake, around the small islands.

I have a Sterns automatic, had it for years. I put it on when I get in the boat and take it off when I get out. I don't have an issue with rubbing on my neck.

I get jigs from them, good clean, well formed heads. They have 1/100 with #12 and #10 gold or bronze.

We just had a mayfly hatch here, may have been crappie feeding on them. I've seen crappie feed like that, you can see their back out of the water.

Vac-seal, saves room in the freezer also.
Put a folded up paper towel between the fish and where you are going to seal, it keeps moisture from getting into the vac unit.

I have one of those also. It works great on my canoe, had it for years. It has 2 one way clutches, turns the prop both up and down stroke.
