Does anyone have any reports on Lake Nimrod they would be willing to share? Haven't been there this year and I have a friend that wants me to take him crappie fishing tomorrow. I've had good luck...

I've only been there once several years ago. It had a lot of stumps then. Suspect it still does. There are some boat trails that might work but that's about it in my opinion. Hope this helps some....

Might consider a Hobie Outback. Very stable. Mirage drive is great. Costs more than the ones you've mentioned though if that's a consideration.

Go for it! I'm the same age and weight as you and feel very comfortable in a yak. Just do your research and pick one you feel most comfortable with. Heck, test drive a few if possible. I have a Hobie...
