Thanks guys, you had some great ideas. I did see some guys at Warrenton bridge the had C-clamps with a long handle on them so they could reach up high and still turn the handle to tighten.

We also were fishing short creek but we fish several bridges so I'd like to find something that would adapt to all. The large scissor type clamps one guy was using would do the trick, I think.

That is a good hawg. Did you catch these in Guntersville? We went Saturday and had 12. Biggest was pushing 2 lbs.. Wind was too strong to stay on any given spot.
