I fish shiners under a cork a lot and I only use stren hi-vis gold in 6lb.
I say "only" because I just want to buy 1 kind of line.
For me, 4lb was good but I broke line too often

The water in Belle River is MUDDY.. but as you go back in to the canals off of the river the water clears up.

I fish canals off of lake verret, so you cross a pretty big lake to reach isolated canals, far off of the lake on the other side.
those canals have pretty tall and thick trees which will block much...

PERFECT!!!

around noon, pull up under a big ol' cypress tree and take a hour or 2 nap..

then hit em' again for the afternoon bite!!!!!
