It won't be too much longer. Combine the cold and night fishing and the lake is all yours unless you a fishing a productive bridge. Some of the bridges look like miniature cities as night with all the boats and lights

You are right Dave! My wife will fish on days that I don't want to and she aint coming home till she's happy, I get tired at times but I try to appease her.
The cooler weather and lessened boat traffic will make our fall and winter dock outings more comfortable.
Staying warm for me is the key, especially if I'm not catching fish but when we do I stay warmer.

That reminds me of my buddies wife. We normally stay about half a day or so. When she comes with him she will stay out all day.

I love the cooler weather fall bite, my wife enjoys my wall yo wall grin when the bite is on.

I am looking forward to the fall cool down. Not looking forward to them dropping the lake level

My wife and I found a bank fishing spot that we love this past spring, went there this past Monday and it was so low that it was no go. Bummer for us.

They drop my home lake down between 4 and 6 feet from around November to March or April. Exposes a lot of mud and makes navigation a little tricky.
