    Default Bream beds on hartwell?

Anyone seen bream beds on hartwell my best friend and family are meeting me and my family at green pond landing. Want to put wives and kids on some fish since we got skunked at Greenwood a couple weeks back.

Didn’t hear anything I’ll keep everyone posted if we do anything. Plan on getting bunch of redworms and fishing with bobbers. I know it’ll be hot so if you see a whale swimming in hartwell it’s just me lol.

Well turned out to be more of a cruising day with last hour or so left for fishing. We found a cove just past twin lakes campgrounds and water was clear enough we could see the beds. Getting bites from start and pulled in first fish pretty fast after we had just got trolling motor in water. Ended up with about thirty fish total but a lot of dinks. I nice shell cracker pulled in but didn’t get a picture of em. Big story of day was the bass that swallowed my sons bobber. Looked to be solid fish maybe between 3 to 5 lbs. bass exploded on the bobber almost as soon as it hit the water. I told him to reel fast and maybe he could accidentally catch it but no luck still got everyone in boat excited. My buddy josh was throwing everything in his tackle box out there to catch the bass but didn’t hit anymore after it blew up on bobber. Water was 77 degrees and it felt good. Tried tubing but they don’t make tube for a fat man. It dove under as soon as my buddy hit throttle but did swim with kids for a bit nice day on water with friends and family.

Great report! I haven't looked for bream beds during all my time in Georgia, but I'm determined to try and find some now. I'm beginning my search on the lower end of Clarks Hill, and I've been told this is a really good area for shellcracker....well, we'll see. That sounds great that they were shallow enough to spot them visually. I'm planning to use Humminbird side scan, my eyes, and the "smell of bream beds" to hopefully find a few!
