    Default HELP! Hummingbird Problems!

Turned the unit on this morning and as it was coming up I briefly say a 2D screen loading when I hit the power button to dim the screen. As I was doing this I hit something else and now all I have is maps....no 2-D, down scan, or side imaging. Does anybody know what I need to do to get my unit back to working? I have the Helix 9. Thanks.

Do your function buttons do anything at all? If not I would call humminbird, they are real good on the support side. Have been with me anyways.

Did you check to see if you turned the sonar off? Power the unit up and hit the power button. See if sonar is turned on.

Function buttons dont do anything other than toggle from maps to a blank screen (gray screen) and back to maps. Top right button that selects different screens does the same. The sonar is turned on. Off or on and the map still works. Nothing other than the lights work. I can go all thru the tools but cannot get the 2D, the Down images, or the side images to work. Is there a reset that I can do to put it back to factory settings?

Went out to the boat barn and did this after looking at a few U-tube flicks. Naturally I didnt have any satelites so I'll pull the boat out of the barn tomorrow to see if it worked. After doing this I got all the screens up but all were blank since it didnt have reception. Fingers crossed that this fixed it.

Butch was you off the lake when this happened? It's hard to believe but you may have to ground the battery. It will take two people and one needs to just touch the negative post while standing on the ground and the other turns on the unit. I know it sounds crazy but I had to do the same, my unit wouldn't show anything ( Lowrance ) and this witchdoctor fix fixed it. .
