Thread: Need a few spinning set ups/Lake Marion

Freshwater fished when I was young then moved on to saltwater. Now, I'm coming back to freshwater and would like to get a few spinning rod/reel set ups. Will probably be fishing brushpiles and casting a bit. Trying to figure out what size rod/reel...

Anyone have suggestions?

I use Shakespeare Microlight rods in the 7" size and Daiwa or Shimano reels in the 1000 series. Great price points and readily available. Thanks. Just bought 2 Shimano Sahara 1000 and Micro Light rods. Also, have a Daiwa QZ750 and Ultra Light rod coming for bream and crappie.
