Default Need a few spinning set ups/Lake Marion

Freshwater fished when I was young then moved on to saltwater. Now, I'm coming back to freshwater and would like to get a few spinning rod/reel set ups. Will probably be fishing brushpiles and casting a bit. Trying to figure out what size rod/reel...

    Anyone have suggestions?

I use Shakespeare Microlight rods in the 7" size and Daiwa or Shimano reels in the 1000 series. Great price points and readily available. I use these for everything from trolling to casting to brush piles. Great starter set ups. Check out the many threads here to get more detailed info. World of great advice on here.

Thanks. Just bought 2 Shimano Sahara 1000 and Micro Light rods. Also, have a Daiwa QZ750 and Ultra Light rod coming for bream and crappie.
