    Default Best PFD

Nothing going on much except the cold and rain. Just cruisin the You Tube Channel and found some interesting facts. Wont say which ones but just go there and search best PFD. I wear mine 99.9% of the time Im on the water. I was given one of the self inflating type for birthday a few years back. I thought I aint gonna wear that thing. Thats what I get for thinking. Out one day and tripped on something in the boat. Fell almost in. Thankfully I grabbed side of the boat bout time my ugly mugg felt water. Managed to pull myself back up before I went completely over. Im not a real good swimmer. Kinda like a rock with a hole in it. But after that day I got mine on. Only takes once and you may regret not having it on. But back to the videos. I was real surprised about which PFD is really best. There are several videos there. All of em came to nearly the same conclusion. It is a law that you must have one for each person onboard but not required to have it on. Just think about it and wear yours when you on the water. A dipp here on Wylie would be a breath taker for sure. Was 45 surface temp Monday. That will make you pucker up real quick. But again You Tube has a bunch of videos. Check em out. Beats sittin on the couch wishin you were fishin. But at least you have done something usefull for the next trip.

I keep mine on, ALL THE TIME. It was time to change the charge on it- so I just stuck it in the water and it did its thing. I reloaded and here we go. At 73 years old, I never know when I will fall or trip on something in my boat.

In my boat I have an inflatable for each person. They don’t count if you’re not wearing it, is my understanding. If someone refuses to wear it they stand on the dock. I put mine on before I get in the boat and typically take it off after I pull the boat out. I worry more about me falling out and my wife having to try to rescue me or help me rescue myself and she would be laughing so hard it could take hours to get out of the water......

Learned my lesson took two fall ins and one almost!!! now my buddie fishfinder8 wont let me on my own toon without one of my 2 pfd on lol. fell in first time at 26* 2nd time in cedar creek with water running really fast and cold ~~ long story short i was within a couple seconds of drowning when i caught the ladder on my toon 3rd time the high sides on the toon kept me inside after tripping over my tackle box. wore a great big shiner for a while after that. my buddie bigdawgg put my glasses back together so i could see how to get home thanks bigdawgg. said all that to say this if you have a pfd wear it if you don't get one and wear it you wont even think about having it on after a couple times wearing it. good luck fishin to you all
