    Default Fishing and Camping In The Everglades


    Last week I camped and fished in the Everglades and Ten Thousand Islands for 6 days. It is a great place this time of year. The wind keeps the bugs away and the fishing is great.

    Great video, thanks for sharing !! That is something I've always wanted to do for sure. It looks like you have the perfect set up for the trip as well !!

    Hope you get a chance to make the trip sometime, even if you never catch a fish (which is very unlikely) the sights you will see in the area are worth the trip. If you don't want to camp they have a motel at Port of the Islands and if you call the marina there they can set you up with a guide for the type of fishing you want.

    There is also some great fresh water fishing right along Hwy 41/Tamiami trail. Unfortunately the speck fishing there is not too good but you will find everything else plus some exotic species like peacock bass.

    Awesome trip.....been to long since fishing the Gulf side, bringing back some memories with the Crevalle Jack
    crappie down !
