    Default Banana theory disproven again

In an attempt to validate or discredit the theory that even many guides and fisherman attest to, I took along a couple bananas on today's trip. With the hot bite action I have been experiencing here on Florida's Central West Coast, I logged the following account. My last trip Friday 12-22-17 had an ending water temp. of 75 degrees, today's startup water temp. was 64 degrees...typically, not a good sign. I stuck to same lures(except for two), rods, spots(except for one) to keep the process for the banana evaluation(apples to apples!). All I can say ladies and gentleman, and truthfully I have tried this in the past...bring and enjoy your bananas!! Results were fantastic numbers, although overall size was down for trout. Species brought to net were Trout(30) limit up to 17", Snook(9) up to 18", Reds(11) up to 23", Ladyfish(many), pinfish etc.Name: 20171227_182259.jpg

Size: 69.8 KB The new spot yielded 8 reds including biggest, 2 lures included a gold chrome Chug bug(no results), also a old favorite of mine for bass(lgmth. and smallies) up North, haven't used one for 20 yrs.!...Mann's 3" sting ray grub(avocado) on same 3/32 head I always use. This reconfirmed that this grub is still incredibly STELLAR!!

What do you use for rod/reel combos?

We eat bananas on our boat, doesn't make any difference......but some people will take you back to the dock if you bring one on their boat

Prefer Daiwa or Penn 2000/2500 series reels, 6.5' Med. light/fast tip rods, 10-15 lb. braid w/ 15 -20 lb. flouro. leader. Basically finesse fishing is my forte.

That is a nice haul and a banana a day helps keep our bodies potassium levels up.
