It's actually a dual MIG. If you pick up the built in MIG gun the machine switches over to the setting for it. I only use the Spool Gun, never even put wire in the other side. They make a dual bottle rack the holds the different gasses but I didn't bother to buy it. I have a 250amp Hobart on a spool gun for steel & stainless.
Them spool guns get heavy on the wrist after all day. Been a few years since I have had my hand on one. Saw one of the slick Cobra push / pull set ups once. Never got to use one though.
mind me asking if you are going to use said rig to gig flounder ? inquiring minds thing
I had a dual machine like this before, a Lincoln and liked it but it was not a Pulse machine. We lost it in Katrina. That machine was a 250amp and needed a rest periodically so I went with the 350P. I looked at the Push/Pull machines but they were all dedicated aluminum welders with a stiffer, bulkier, lead. For boat building the spool gun really works getting around in tight places like welding under deck.
Yes, gigging is the main goal. These folk have lots of experience as being from a commercial fishing family on the Gulf Coast. Right now the commercial fishermen are cleaning out all the Flounder with gigs. The owner wanted it to be quick removable leaving Rod Holders behind.
I really like your stuff.

I had a bit of creative block on how to fabricate the Bow 2 Lite Mounts. I felt I needed to tie in the look of the 2 side mounts but these needed to be lower. A pair of pipe plugs was used to finish off the sides of each mount. I think the "Look" has been accomplished. All that is left is to paint the welds with the Hot Shot "Aluminum" paint.
