Any tips you can give to make these look better? Bought the 1/4” stamps from Harbor Freight. I don’t like the wrinkle areas, it’s not clean.

I’ll give that a try next time. I put them on top of the Bass Pro catalog. Figured they needed something to absorb the impact and also to protect our kitchen table.

Bud I strike on my aluminum welding table. Definitely made a mistake using the catalog. The brite side is your next ones will look much better. I personally think you hit too hard too. I'm making mine out of .100 to 1/8" scrap Striking with a hard backing then not hitting hard. If I get a lite strike I align the die first then lean it towards the lite strike then strike it again. I would back with Oak if possible, hold your die very firmly against the tag, measure your force on the strike.

Planting the First 6 New Muscadine Vines
We finally have a good rain on the way so I'm out getting in front of it planting the new Muscadine Vines on hand here. 5 more are on order but will not ship till February.
Where this now bare spot is was a Choctaw Paper Shell Pecan. Paper Shells are just about gone due to Pecan Scab and any Pecan with a Indian name is about gone too as Pecan Scab devastated them. I put the Teeth on the Bobcat Dirt Bucket and it rips up some ground. Patiently shaving off the mound that was here I go down to the original top soil and piled the mound of top soil on the side for later.
I don't know why I didn't get a picture of the planted Vines but I will take one and edit this post later.
So to water in you got to keep watering till all the air bubbles stop coming to the surface. To do that carrying 5 gallon bucket is a bit of a pain but the barrel I rigged up during the drought this summer worked great to get the job done.

I was single, working in the North Sea, and bought this place with all the problems fairly cheap. Now it took a bit of work and after 33 years I still have work in front of me. The owner was only going to sell me the 1/2 acre the house was on but I told them all the land or no deal. Since it had been on the market and no offers they took my demand. Worked out for me. I have stuff planted or grafted everywhere. You should see all the deer tracks in my yard nightly. I may need Jeff to come down here for a "Grocery Run".Originally Posted by SuperDave336
