That looks awesome
The title says pretty much what it is . This was just a practice wrap of my version of the Vivona Spider . I know its crooked but thats easily fixed just gotta pull my head out of my arse lol. Anyways I was happy with it and before i pitch it figured I'd show it off . Does a person get faster at this with experience ? Thanks to all here who helped show me the way !

My eyes must be crooked because that looks flawless. Excellent work!
As with anything I am sure you would get faster at it the more you did it. Some things are just slow. That is after all the beauty of custom hand work

Wow, amazing. Looks good to me.
Certainly a way to make a rod into an heirloom

Have to be a patient man to create such art work on a rod

Thank you all for the compliments . I started this journey about a year ago . I was very skeptical at first whether or not custom rods were the way to go . I made my first rod and I was amazed , to put it mildly . Now I have 3 custom rods and made one for a friend who is a very good fisherman . My first rods had no crosswraps on them but when I made my friends rod I put a Chevron wrap on it . He cannot say enough about that wrap and the rod and how it fishes . So fast forward to today ,I gotta be careful here this is a slippry slope we are on lol. I am getting inquiries about making rods for other people as in selling them . I am not sure I want to get into that ,dealing with people I mean . Do any of you here sell custom rods ? If so could you share with me anything you have learned from doing so ? I am retired and could use something to do .
