Default Billy Vivona " Spider Pattern " practice wrap

The title says pretty much what it is . This was just a practice wrap of my version of the Vivona Spider . I know its crooked but thats easily fixed just gotta pull my head out of my arse lol. Anyways I was happy with it and before i pitch it figured I'd show it off . Does a person get faster at this with experience ? Thanks to all here who helped show me the way !Name: 20220408_130246.jpg

As with anything I am sure you would get faster at it the more you did it. Some things are just slow. That is after all the beauty of custom hand work

Certainly a way to make a rod into an heirloom

Have to be a patient man to create such art work on a rod

Thank you all for the compliments . I started this journey about a year ago . I was very skeptical at first whether or not custom rods were the way to go . I made my first rod and I was amazed , to put it mildly . Now I have 3 custom rods and made one for a friend who is a very good fisherman . My first rods had no crosswraps on them but when I made my friends rod I put a Chevron wrap on it . He cannot say enough about that wrap and the rod and how it fishes . So fast forward to today ,I gotta be careful here this is a slippry slope we are on lol. I am getting inquiries about making rods for other people as in selling them . I am not sure I want to get into that ,dealing with people I mean . Do any of you here sell custom rods ? If so could you share with me anything you have learned from doing so ? I am retired and could use something to do .
