Did you watch the Fuji video, what were they using again? Yes, you will be fine. Check the video before you build, info is your friend.
Ok the title says it all as far as what I want to know . I need the advice of our more experienced rod builders . I have built a couple of rods and I use 10lb braided line . A friend of mine WHO USES 6LB LIMP MONO LINE would like me to make him a rod simular to mine. I dont know why but these guide systems confuse me a little. From what I read this is a light duty system the KR system will be fine for a 2500 reel and 6lb mono line . This will be a first for me building a rod for someone so I want to do it right . Will the KR guides be ok for the above specs? Any help is appreciated thank you.

The KR guides will do Just fine with anything you use crappie fishing. I Personally have used 2-10lb mono / floro with them and never had a problem. Now when casting lighter things you will defiantly see a difference in casting distance between 4-6lb momo.
Thanks guys, which Fuji video are you referring to Spoonplugger1? Gbcorely I want to publicly thank you for advice you gave me on rod balancing about 6 months ago . I followed your advice and the rod is awesome !

The video is on youtube, the Angler's Resource/Fuji site and a bunch of other places, Fuji site explains the KR system, how can you use the system, the guides without knowing anything about it?
The guides alone are nothing.
Ok i will seek the video out . If its the video I think it is it doesnt tell me much . I have built 2 rods using the KR system I have studied it the best I can . I dont recall saying I knew nothing about it . Why do you assume I know nothing about it ? I dont ask anything here without trying to study on it myself first . I simply did not know if the KR system was suitible for 6 lb mono .

You're looking at things from a negative perspective I think, right on the video they say they used a stiff fluorocarbon line, 8 llb test, to maximize any problems they may have while filming and getting good performance while testing components to get the right mix. Now if 8 lb. stiff fluoro works well, how do you think 6 lb. mono will do? Again you have to get the system down
pat to get the most from it and if in doubt mock up a component setup and test cast. You'll learn more that way then reading post here, or anywhere else as it builds confidence along with knowledge.
