Went to mudhole today for some parts and walked past the rack of HMX blanks. A 6’ and 6’6” ultra light really appealed to me, but I was strong and they stayed there. Also want to do some research on other options before pulling the trigger. Complete rod would have been about $100 out the door so it wouldn’t break the bank and the weight was significantly less than what I have now. I have another in my future, just not sure when . Any input or suggestions would be cool. I fish closer quarters than most folks so longer rods probably wouldn’t get used much. Thanks in advance........Tim.

If you want fuji titanium frames torzite rings, then brc rods has a set of
12/8/6/4/3 x4 for around $60. When weighing guides, they are less than 1/100 th of an oz.

When I put together my next rod, maybe the one I spoke of, I want to try the torzite guides. They would be more expensive than the blank. I’ve never seen or handled them but I’m interested.

Please shoot me a link to brc when you get a minute.
