Looks great. I've used a lot of Matagi parts, never tried their blanks. How does it fish?

Not sure, just finished but definitely very thin/light. The vanford 500 does balance out nicely.
Thats amazing how much would one cost? Do you sell them?

Blank was $140, guide train $59, tip $10, reel seat and grips $20. I took a class so it is just a hobby. The blanks you
can get via voodoo rods.
You have to go into the matagi catalog/english version and find your blank there. Once you find your blank, voodoo will order it and send it to you once they receive it. Shipping was only $20 or so thru them since they bulk order about once a month. I also have a 5’6” xul blank that weighs .3 oz/10 grams that is almost done. The 2 blanks i got were the lightest that i could find in the catalog. You also need to get your tip there because most tips are .7mm or 2/64 and not available in usa. The catalog also has mhx blanks that you can get in usa so make sure you are looking at the russell/matagi blanks.
bish0p thanked you for this post
I know this is an older thread, but just hoping the OP may still see this. I have recently jumped into the rod building pool. I would like to say what a good looking rod that is and also would like to ask what reel seat and grip that is? Also what winding checks to you use to keep that looking that sharp?
