I second what Schmang just said. I bought an inexpensive house brand blank of theirs, a 6’ rated for 2-6lb test for mid teens price. Not far from finishing it and used some guides that have a stainless ring inside a light stainless frame. Much lighter than the Fuji’s I normally use. I used 8 guides and the three under the tip are just plain small. Hope to finish and coat it tomorrow. Already have my fancy windings I used on my fly rod in place. So many layout mistakes but it looks good and will fish very well. New spinner is in the foreground.
Sorry I didn’t get right back to you Tom. I’m wrapping the tip and not at all sure this spinner will get a tip dressing. These are for me so they get some treatment but I’m still a rookie and it shows. Not sure what you mean when you say tying a tip. The tough wraps o spoke of were on the tip section.the diameter was so small that if I relaxed the tension at all they would unroll instantly into a puff of curls.
