0 axis have the center of the diamonds on even inch increments and 180* away the centers are at 1” increments.

One last attempt. I meant to say odd inch increments. Sometimes the iPhone gets on my last nerve correcting my spelling other times I like it correcting my spelling.

Wrangler, thanks for the idea of doing the wrap before putting on the fore grip. In all my years I never thought of this!

I figured I had to put a fore grip on anyway so a trim band for the decorative wrap right next to the fore grip seemed like a waste. The book I read to learn how to build rods said to use a trim band but I remembered the story about the lady that cut the ends off her roast before she cooked it.
