Question about old submerged rock jettys
Found some peculiar humps in the river that I fish. They were both about 200' apart in 20+ feet.Sonar showed 2 humps that rise about 5' from the bottom. They run out from shoreline and seem to fade toward channel.Have heard that before dams that there were rock jetty's located upstream from dam.Is it possible that these are from before dam days.Dam was put in in 50 something.Lots of fish around these humps but unable to make contact.Any ideas what these could be and how and when to fish them?It was in Feb. when I found them and water temp was in 40's.Fish seemed to be spread out on downstream side of hump.Just learning how to fish confined open water.Any and all replies welcome.Oh yeah, this is on the Alabama river between Cleiborne and Millers Ferry.
