Has Anyone Ever Moved The Front Roller Or Stop Back A Few Inches To Get Less Tongue Weight?
Yes, worked for mine.

I had to move mine forward on my current boat, because I didn't have enough tongue weight. A little can make a big difference.
That will move weight just fine, but be careful that your crank handle won't hit your vehicle when you turn if you move it forward. I had to buy a tongue that was a foot longer for one boat I had to make it work.
Another trick that can be used on some trailers is to move the axles forward a little. Some trailers have pre-drilled holes just for that purpose.

I have adjusted mine on several different rigs.
Make sure that the bunks on your trailer are long enough to extend past your transom or you risk having transom issues and putting a hook in your hull on an aluminum boat.
Pretty common deal, although I've never had to do it myself. I believe the rule of thumb is 10% of the weight on the tongue, not to exceed the specs on your tow vehicle. That's from memory though, so check me on that.
Wannabe...
I pull a 24' pontoon with a short wheeled Chev PU. I moved the winch stand back about 3" and mad a huge difference.
Moral of the story....
Don't buy a little pick up 1st then a monster toon boat 2nd.

Tongue wt. is critical to towing. You can shift the boat fwd. or back. be careful that you dont move it too far.
