I have an H20c and I just got the Navionics card and I like it. The only thing that I don't like is it does not have the roads on it so you have put your other card in until you get to the lake or are looking for streets. But it shows a lot of detail on the water. I like the Lowrance gps. I have had it since last year. Hope that helps.:D
Iswitched to the H20 recently and bought the FISHING HOT SPOTS CARD and WOW!!! Was I missing out!~ Money well spent.
use H2O also. I like it. What year navionics card are you using? I heard the latest (the 2009 card) is not as good for some reason.
If you plan to slow troll jigs you will want to get the b&w version. I now have both because I first bought the H2Oc and it would not read speeds below about 1.2 mph.
The H2O shows speeds down to about .5 or .6 mph.
Sounds like everybody who has it likes it well enough.
I don't currently have a navionics card. I'm bidding on a 2004 model off ebay now. I've heard the 04 and older year's maps were really good especially on our home lake. I won't by the h20 c. I've seen it in the sunlight and it can be a pain to read.
I've got both and like them but use the black and white more. The processer is faster.
I have the 1st generation Ifinder b/w and it serves me well. I have downloaded free enhanced maps from lowrance.com of my home lake and a few others in the area that shows contours at 8ft increments not to bad for free maps. I wouldn't mind getting a Navonics card if the price was right.
I have a Lowrance H20c and despised it because it had such a slow refresh rate.
Someone on here recommended the free software upgade from Lowrance.
Let me tell you it made a WORLD of difference.
It can track each step I take in the yard as I take it.
Make sure you have the 1.1.0 update if your H20 is slow. It's an easy fix!!
