They compost worms. They eat and poop.:D They change colors depending on what they eat. Some greenhouse places sell them.

I've been thru Kids, grand kids and all crawling creatures....:p

The third ones down look like the chartruce worms they will soon have at the bait shop. They are supposed to be really active, which would explain why they would work so well. Those Chartruce worms really look like they could catch some fish.
I don't feel to bad because yesterday on the lake no one else was catching fish either.
They just weren't biting. I'm gonna wait until the water warms up a bit. The water was only 60 degrees yesterday and that was probably still too cold for them to be biting good. I did try many places on the lake and different bait and depths.
I could always cheat and go to a "pay for pound" fishery to toss a line in. Maybe that would help me practice my hooking technique.
That one that looks like a centepeed looks evil.LOL!

Darn you're making Bear Grylls drool showing all that good protein there. :D

At least ya got bait and don't have to buy it.

If the water was 60 degrees they should be spawning. were you fishing to deep?

Yep. Them Catawba. Not many trees left here and not many worms on the trees anymore either. Too many chemicals sprayed probably. Bream sure nuf eat em up. Nasty little critters. They spit (I believe that it what is) a lot.
