Wow... that picture gets my blood flowin. You must have caught those from the bank, then thrown them in the boat for the picture just to mess with us wind adverse folk. Where I fish there is a lot of submerged timber... it is hard to navigate that stuff in the wind without losing your religion... not to mention getting grounded on a high one. I assume you were hitting the docks today? As they say, a picture is worth a 1000 words.
Yes, hit the docks. Just nosed up and starting catching. When they slowed I moved. Use the jig and cork method right now. I don't care how still someone can hold their rod, when the wind blows above 20 mph a brain surgeon couldn't hold his rod still. USE THE SMALL SLIP CORK. And this advice is coming from someone that doesn't allow a bobber in his boat after the water temp hits 50 ;)
nice
here at Salimonie the water is still really muddy so i went to a private pond because it was just too nice to sit in the house caught a few gills and bass how was the water where you caught those slabs?
Stained - Muddy almost a coffee and cream color.
Papermouth, I parked next to you, in the grey jeep cherokee same results:

Sure was a good bite...
I got a bad case of crappie fingers today. Well over a hundred fish but all males. Only one 10 Inch female full of eggs. She went back for good luck in the days to come. Casting bobber and red/chartruse tipped with a bee moth bout 1 foot down was the best producer. It won't be long. Anyone know of a good cream for crappie fingers.
aaawwww man.... insult to injury. You guys sure know how to pour salt into an open wound. Way to go HT. Just got in from hooking my boat up... it is really nice out there tonight...I should be on the water now. I was planning on waiting until Monday ( 5 mph wind fcst) but maybe I will do some scouting tomorrow to see if I can find 'em. If I get swamped tomorrow I'm blaming you guys. Did you catch any of those on your yum bait?
Congrats on a great mess of fish!
