well went to VA beach on hopes we'd wear em out. looking at the forecast, nothing pointed to the fact that there was a big storm brewing. was supposed to be a "NICE" 3 days. well the weather man screwed this one up :D
fished the first day, made it out around noon and missed the good morning bite, then went the wrong direction and missed that evening bite. we caught 2 nice ones tho.
the next day we sat it out because it was blowing 35+ mph and bout 8 ft seas.
the following day started out rough and cold, but ended decent....water was very stirred up and no one caught anything.....except those charter boat captains that own the water up there and caught/kept em beyond 3 miles out.
and the final day we worked hard to catch 2 more fish all practically on that 3 mile line, while again the charter boats where out there around 4 miles. but i guess they got to make a living and catch/keep some for their clients.
all in all it was slow, but we did catch some decent fish. 3 of them were upper 20's lower 30's, and the 4th around 20 lbs.
3 fish caught on chart. stretch 25's, and 1 caught on mojo/bucktail combo. only missed 1 bite the whole trip.
water temp on the beach varied from 39-42...too cold. on the last day we had to run 20 miles to the Va/NC border to catch fish.
