I agree the pup should be able to come back here! He could always send him to Mexico and have him snuck across the boarder if the military won't let the pup come back here.

If only people felt that way about the orphaned children in Iraq. I'd bet a shiny new nickel PETA will chime in on this and start a campaign to save the dogs of Iraq, with tax payer money of course.
I say give the girl her puppy, but I hope she has the guts to look the kids over there in the eye as she boards the C130 with her puppy.
i say send the dog to north korea.. will serve 2 purposes
This would have been the least costly and the fastest!!!!!!!:p but it flew into the USA Today~~Iraqi puppy arrives in U.S. - USATODAY.com
One of the tibits I recall out of Steven Ambrose's book Undaunted Courage was that the fellows with Lewis & Clarks's Corps of Discovery considered dog meat as one of thier favorite meats to eat while on their journey.
I found that interesting an really woundered how much effort was involved in keeping Lewis's newfoundland dog Seaman from being served up durning some of their trying times for acquiring sufficient nurishement.
