Hal-flies are made in the great state of Georgia. Warner Robins, Georgia to be exact. The owner of the company, Mr. Billy Wilson is a great guy!
The phone number to the maufacturing facility is 478-922-5451.
Address is;
Hal-Fly Tackle Mfg.Co. Inc.
93 Francis Street
Warner Robins, Georgia 31093
It is a maribou (hair) jig......as opposed to the plastic counter-part.....Quote:

what we call hal flies around here are plastic bodies with a feather (or hair?)tail. lots of folks at wateree use em trolling.
its feather tails with a soft plastic body on a no barb jig, you buy them from on cards like single roadrunners. They come in 2 sizes I know of, I have a few different colors and sizes in my tackle box just incase.

this is what they look like
Another picture of what they look like.
The one on the left is a 1/16 jelly belly.
the one on the right is a1/24 chenille.
I usually troll with the jelly belly and shoot docks with the chenille.
You are right....it has a plastic body and a hair tail....sorry I should have made myself more clear, I was talking specifically about the tail not being plastic.....Quote:
