Was cleaning up the clippings after I put new line on, got to close to the spool and started pulling it off. Works pretty slick, it was so much fun taking it off, I put new line on everything.

David your tip just cost me 5 bucks. I just went and tried it on 2 reels that didnt even need new line. Man that works great.
That's a great idea! Aint it funny how you can stumble on some really good ideas completely by accident. :) I'm gonna do that from now on - the shop vac sits right there in the boat shed anyway.
