i know a couple of you have heard the same thing i have about the crappie population being affected by the big bass kill this past winter. i went out there after work an caught a whopp'n 4... lost 2 more trying to yank them in, and missed a few good thump's:o so for those that fish out there, there are at least 6 crappie left in the lake:o:D beautiful day to get out though. water temp was 62 when i got on the water and 66 when i got off. graphed a ton but could'nt get them to bite. oh well better than get'n skunked i guess. i think the lake is gonna get good real soon:rolleyes: could'nt get a bite by any timber:confused: anywho took a picture before i let them go, not cuz i was proud of my big catch but wanted you all to see they look just fine. looked healthy and fought like the dicken's so hopefully there are a bunch more in there cuz i'm head'n back tomorrow:D

Good to see some being caught out of there. My son and I fished ML saturday and didn't get a nibble in 3 hours. Graphed fish everywhere but they would not bite. What's your secret, Jeffie? Where did you find them?

Nice fish glad you had a good time, we been marking lot's of fish but they are not biting down here either, must be a crappy thing....

tell me about this big bass kill???

Just a side note: When we were out there Saturday, a guy caught a 8 lb bass on a red spinner bait. I had no bass tackle with me or we would have started fishing for them since the crappie refused to bite.

Thanks for the report. Gonna have to go try there again. Haven't been there this year yet.
