Ideas for horizontal/gunwale rod holders for storage?

Hi Everyone,

I need to add some horizontal rod holders to the insides of my gunwales for rod storage and transportation. I'm a do-it-yourself freak (and I haven't seen anything commerically available that I like). Anyone have suggestions or pictures for good designs?

I've got something like Bass Pro's G-Lox fishing rod holder on one side, but I want to try to improve on that design on the other side so that I can hold more than 3-5 rods and so that they can be easily removed individually.
