Bluestone lake in WV

Hello, a friend and myself are very interested in crappie fishing here in WV. I know that there are a lot of crappie caught at bluestone...we need some help getting started. we have the gear, we could just use some tips on areas to fish and general info. I talked to a fellow at claytor lake last Saturday who advised me to get on here. thanks in advance for any help.

Your best bet it to fish cover. Find it whether from the bank or submerged. Crappie like to suspend themselves along all kinds of cover. Whether it's brush piles, rocks, docks or out in deeper water on ledges and steep drop offs. Also might try tributaries and small inland bodies of water off the main channels.
