does using 2 hooks or 3 hooks better your chances or just one hook how is the best way to tie more than one hook palomor knot or a 3 way swivel:confused::confused::confused::confused: also is it best to use 2 minnows or one minnow 1 jig or two jigs etc etc any other tips

Statistics say you "should" get more hits on a double rig normally...but I've seen times when only a single (jig) would draw a strike. Fishing brush I only use a single jig, less hang ups. Can't tell you about minners, I don't use em.
I use a double surgeon knot for top jig and palomar knot for bottom jig, no swivels.
Oh, and welcome to the board btw.
2 hooks. If you use 3 hooks and get into a good school of them it will be more than you can handle. I use a Wally Marshall double over hand knot to tie the hooks on the line.
i like 2 hooks, mainly because if a fish gets away the first time, i can wait for it to come back and hit the 2nd hook
one thing that i do to help keep my hooks from wrapping around the line and getting tangled up is to tie knots along the leader - makes it more stiff and less likely to tangle.
drop loop will work great.
I've never tried using two jigs on a line at one time, but plan to this year. I usually work two rods, one tightlining over the side and one casting jigs. I'm going to rig doubles on my tightline this spring and see what happens. Can't hurt to try.
