Question For Hummingbird Pro
I have a Ranger 521 and like all Ranger Bass boats it has a setback on the transom and there just isn't any room to get that huge transducer on a spot that is horizontal with the back of the boat. What are you guys doing about it or should I just get ahold of Ranger boats. I here the 2008's can be ordered with one. A transducer in hull and one on back with a switch to go back and forth. I have a ton of money wrapped up in Lowrance equipment and love the GPS and depthfinders so don't want to get rid of them just add the small Hummingbird to use on Sideimaging only.
Si Transducer placement on Rangers with setback hull
I've seen Ranger 690's install. Pictures of his installation and more from other Ranger owners are on the Yahoo Side Imaging Group site. You might want to join and look at the installation photos to get some ideas.

I think that most are installing the transducers on or right next to the jackplates and than using a second sonar unit or a second inside-the-hull transducer for high-speed depth readings.
