jigs from e-bay
Got my order in from Tommy Crenshaw (http://stores.ebay.com/TCI-Fishing-Lures) and painted a few up and went out this morning to try them out. Only got 9 keepers and 7 of those were just at 10" so it was not a real good test but I believe I'm going to like them as I like a big open hook. The only thing I found wrong was on some of the ball no collar was the lead was a little loose. They came in pretty quick, had my son-in-law order them for me as he does a lot of e-baying.

Those look like they will work out pretty good.

I have now had a couple of short trips using the jigs with the Matzuo sickle hooks and while I don't know enough to comment on if the hooking ability is better than a standard hook, I do know one thing, once you have one hooked it sure seems harder to unhook them after you get them in the boat. Think I like them pretty well.

I pour my heads, tie my own jigs. I started with standard VMC hooks, tried several styles, including the sickle. I went back to the regular 575 VMC. Some folks swear by the sickle style, I just didn't like them as well. Too hard to get out of the brush. Hard to straighten with 8lb line.
