Vise maintenance???

Anyone ever do any sort of regular maintenance/clean of your vise???

I typically just dust mine off with a rag and compressed air ever so often.

Never done anything to my vices. They tie as well as the day I got them.

I just dust mine every now and again. Probably should do a thorough cleaning of the base sometime in the future, but probably wont for a while.

Dust is right, mine has a lot of dust on it since I hardly have time anymore.

I’ve had to disassemble and clean once in the years I’ve had mine. Oil and moving parts need a cleaning now and then IMHO. The oil gathers dust is my thought. I just noticed my rotation got a little sluggish. It’s every bit of twenty years old and not an issue since.

I used a drop of hair clipper oil on my Renzetti Traveler. it got hard to spin. One drop of oil and it's as smooth as ever
